Maxxis Aspen TR EXO MaxxSpeed MTB Folding Tyre 32”

The MAXXIS Aspen is designed for maximum efficiency in XC riding and has been one of the established race tyres in the cross-country sector for years. In this 32" version, it combines its low-rolling-resistance tread pattern with a larger wheel size, opening up new possibilities for modern XC bikes.

The 32" platform enhances the Aspen’s character by providing additional traction, high riding stability and improved rolling characteristics compared to 29" wheels. As obstacles and uneven surfaces become smaller relative to the larger wheel diameter, you can ride over them more efficiently.

The 32" platform really comes into its own on fast and rough XC courses, offering a smooth ride and excellent directional stability. What’s more, the larger contact patch ensures more ground contact and reduces the impact of the surface. This is particularly favourable for taller riders, who can benefit from the balanced proportions and confident handling of the 32" platform.

In this version, the Aspen combines EXO Protection with the MaxxSpeed rubber compound for cross-country and fast trail use with a focus on minimum rolling resistance, high efficiency and maximum speed in XC racing.


Technologies:

• EXO PROTECTION
EXO Protection is an extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant protective layer on the sidewall of selected MTB, Gravel and Metro tyres from MAXXIS. The tightly woven material is designed to be both light and flexible, so that the performance of the tyres is affected as little as possible.

• MaxxSpeed
MaxxSpeed is a high-silica rubber compound from MAXXIS for XC racing. The compound is designed to reduce rolling resistance compared to 3C MaxxSpeed and also improve wet grip. In the laboratory test, rolling resistance was measured to be around 25 % lower than 3C MaxxSpeed with identical tread, tyre construction and air pressure.

• TUBELESS READY [TR] 
In the MAXXIS range, Tubeless Ready [TR] refers to tyres with a construction that is designed for tubeless use with a sealant, a compatible tubeless rim or matching rim tape. The system enables lower air pressures and is intended to improve traction and ride quality, while reducing the rolling resistance. In addition, minor damages can be sealed directly by the sealant, which reduces the risk of breakdowns.
