Safety Notices and Recalls

Safety notice on the “Sneak 1 EQ - 2026”

Dear customer,

Your safety is important to us. That’s why we check the properties and safety of the materials of our bikes and components at regular intervals, both regarding the construction and the quality.

Due to initial observations, we are currently investigating a product batch of bottom brackets that are fitted in the following models:

  • Sneak 1 EQ HighStep (model year 2026)
in the versions berry (16044201), t-rex (16044202) and chalk (16044203)
  • Sneak 1 EQ MidStep (model year 2026)
in the versions berry (16044301), t-rex (16044302) and chalk (16044303)

(Urban/Hybrid), in the sell-off period from March 2026 to June 2026

Due to an anomaly in the production process, a small number of these bikes might show damage to the brake hose in the area of the bottom bracket. Based on an initial identified case, consultations with the production facility, and our ongoing quality monitoring, we have reason to believe that the identified product series may be affected. The current findings from our root cause analysis indicate that, beyond the individual case identified, further individual bikes from the 2026 EQ1 series show damage to the brake hose, which may cause progressive loss of the braking performance. In the worst case, affected persons might lose control over their bike, which can lead to falls or injuries. We are currently working flat out to narrow down the group of potentially affected bikes as precisely as possible.

As we are currently unable to determine whether the identified irregularity may occur in any individual products from the sell-off period, or whether you may also be affected, we ask you to book an appointment with one of our service partners in a timely manner - especially if your bike is part of the batch mentioned above. You can find a partner workshop near you using the following link:

Should we determine as part of our root cause analysis that you are also among the potentially affected customers, we will contact you directly using the contact details we have on file and inform you about the next steps. As of now, we will check the brake hoses of potentially affected bikes and provide conversion options for the affected customers. If you have already sold a bike with a frame (model: “Sneak 1 EQ”, sell-off period March to June 2026), we ask you to forward this information to the buyer.  We ask for your understanding.

Should you have any further questions on the safety information, please contact us via the contact form under the heading “Safety notice Sneak 1 EQ” providing the relevant details. The contact form can be found here:  https://www.rosebikes.es/support/contact
