Long before it was called gravel riding, Tom Ritchey was already riding his racing bike on the gravel roads of the Santa Cruz Mountains - and the Ritchey Comp VentureMax V2 was designed for just such adventures. Ritchey has given this revised version of the gravel handlebar some ergonomic improvements and geometry changes to further improve its performance for fast off-road rides. Superior steering control, comfort qualities and the characteristic Bio-Bend curve are still the trademarks of these handlebars.

An innovation compared to its predecessor is the flattened Ergo-Aero tube profile at the top bar, which offers a pleasant grip and balanced pressure distribution thanks to its large contact area. Plus, the backsweep has also been somewhat reduced, optimised for as comfortable a hand position as possible. When you’re in the thick of it, the large 24° drop flare will give you a lot of control in the lower handlebar position. Plus, it enables an ergonomic hand position at the hoods. Since the drop flare also increases the distance between the handlebar ends, there is more space for a handlebar bag - perfect for bikepacking!

At the lower handlebar, the tried and tested Bio-Bend design offers you variable grip options that are ideal for different cycling situations and can reduce signs of fatigue. There is also a 6° flare out, which places the handlebar ends further outwards and is intended to offer ergonomic support for your hands in the lower handlebar position.
