The TOPO Germany V9 PRO map by Garmin is the ninth generation of the popular leisure and hiking map with updated map data. It offers you optimal overview and a maximum density of map details. It delivery a rich pool of destinations for leisure activities and travelling. In this way, it helps you find e.g. waterfalls, bathing lakes, mountain tops, alpine chalets, viewing towers, castles, fortresses, parking sites for hikers, train stations etc. No matter if you travel by foot or by bike, you will always get a map display that is tailored to your selected activity profile – with colour highlighted routes.

The ActiveRouting* function additionally takes into consideration your selected activity when calculating the route. Vector-based mapping makes sure the map is still easy to read when zooming in. You can also select single elements of the map to get further information e.g. path names or type of vegetation.

The TOPO Germany V9 Pro is prepared to give you individual route suggestions optimised for different leisure activities (e.g. cycling/road cycling, cycle touring, MTB, hiking, mountaineering). All you need to do to get the perfect route is selecting your activity profile in advance. If you shouldn’t be satisfied though, you can change the route by swapping your activity or entering waypoints whenever you like. You can do that either in the Garmin device or in the BaseCamp programme on your PC/Mac. To improve user friendliness, the map highlights all routes that are adapted to your activity. This helps you plan your route while providing ease of use and improve orientation. Another interesting feature is the option to integrate highlighted or recommended cycle and hiking paths into navigation (e.g. “100 Schlösser Route” (100 castles route), “Donauradweg“ (Danube cycle path), “Rothaarsteig“ etc.).

*ActiveRouting functions are only supported by certain devices and their scope varies depending on the respective Garmin device and the installed software version.

The preloaded microSD card can be sued with a Garmin device featuring a microSD slot. The map cannot be copied onto a PC/Mac. For display in the BaseCamp programme, you can either use your Garmin device with inserted card as external drive or read the card with a card reader. Updates for microSD map material are not available.
