northwave CELSIUS XT ARCTIC GTX Winter MTB Shoes

The CELSIUS XC ARCTIC GTX from northwave has been given an update and the MTB winter shoe now comes with optimised features for particularly tough bikers. The CIRRUS XT 4L membrane from GORE-TEX ensures an ideal balance between outstanding waterproofness, windproofness and breathability in these MTB shoes. The PRIMALOFT GOLD 200 g ECO thermal insulation made from recycled material provides considerable thermal insulation in the crisp cold. The X-DIAL SLW3 closure system creates a precise fit for customised comfort, while the ARCTIC 4LAYER insole with its 4-layer construction provides warmth and insulation on the coldest rides. 
The optimised neoprene gaiter impresses with its special elasticity and high thermal insulation. The clever side zip ensures that the shoes are ready for use immediately. The low-cut design with gaiter gives you improved ankle flexibility and weather protection at the same time. The clever toe flex system maximises power transfer and comfort on every ride and the JAWS EVO sole also ensures superior grip and stability on any surface. The winter shoes are rounded off by their wider tread and improved rubber for reliable traction and confident pedalling.

Procedure for correct and comfortable access to the CELSIUS XT GTX & CELSIUS XT ARCTIC GTX models:
• Fully open the zip
• Turn up the gaiter
• Open the shoe wide using the two internal red loops
• Slip into the shoe with your foot without pulling or forcing

Highlights & Technologies:

GORE-TEX CIRRUS XT 4L:
Thanks to insulating fibres, this membrane that is used for different northwave MTB shoes provides optimal protection from cold, which makes it suitable for tough winter weather. It provides excellent thermal insulation, offers complete protection against rain and wind and is also highly breathable.

PRIMALOFT:
This is an ultra-fine insulating microfibre material for cold weather and all-season clothes – incredibly soft, light and highly compressible for a small pack size, yet shape-retaining. Primaloft is wind-resistant, breathable and offers excellent water-repellent properties. Once it is wet, it dries extremely fast. However, even when wet, it retains its insulating properties and thus ensures a comfortable, dry and warm feeling, even in extreme weather.
There are three separate Primaloft grades: Gold, Silver and Black.
The ECO version of Primaloft also uses recycled material.

JAWS EVO:
Sole made of thermoplastic material, tread made of natural rubber, resulting in a low weight and optimal grip, even on difficult terrain. The sole combines XC performance with traction for safe walking on any surface. It features an advanced flexi system and arch support to transfer power to the pedal and provide a super comfortable feel, even off the bike. The rubber tread provides excellent grip in all weather and all terrain conditions.

SLW3 SYSTEM:
The speed lace system closure on the shoes provides perfect support and optimal fit for your feet, is functional and fast to use: Simply open and close the shoe with a flick of the wrist. A large dial allows for precise tensioning of the wires. The shoes can be fully opened at once or step by step. 

ARCTIC 4LAYER:
Insole with EVA + Aluminium and EVA + Pile for optimal insulation.
