The high volume AL GROUNDER was developed by Schwalbe to meet the demands of high-performance touring and e-bikes on and off paved roads. It goes well with powerful bikes with and without pedal assistance.
With its unique tread design, the all-rounder runs easily and quietly on asphalt and at the same time offers sufficient stability on rocky, sandy surfaces. The Addix rubber compound contributes to an optimal balance between low rolling resistance and sufficient grip to be fast and safe on the road. Together with the Double Defense puncture protection made of a high-tensile micro fabric, which is vulcanised together with the rubber compound and the carcass, as well as with the RaceGuard insert under the centre tread, the crossover tyre is optimally equipped for on- and off-road use.
This is where Schwalbe's AL GROUNDER really shows its all-round talents on roads, forest paths and in light terrain thanks to its balloon tyre format. Using the right amount of low air pressure allows you to increase grip and traction while optimising rolling resistance. Built-in air suspension provides good ride quality when riding on gravel roads and cobblestones. It helps dampen bumps, potholes, rocks and roots even better and makes sure you will keep your bike under control even in tricky situations.
