For true one-finger braking, SRAM has fundamentally revised the ergonomics of the RED AXS™ HRD brake/shift levers to deliver maximum performance on the high-end road bike with RED AXS™ shifting and gravel race bike with the RED XPLR AXS™!
 
The result is a fit that means a significant improvement in brake operation for every hand size and intended use. The new grip geometry allows for easy and, above all, powerful hydraulic disc brake operation from anywhere on the handlebar, so that one finger is really more than enough for fast and safe stopping. 
In addition, SRAM has given the RED brake/shift levers practical bonus buttons with which you can control compatible ANT+ devices or simply enjoy extra shifting options. 
 
Apart from that, the electronic shifting has remained the same. Wireless and with maximum precision!
In the basic setting, both shift levers operate the rear derailleur. The right lever shifts up at the back, the left lever shifts down. By actuating both shift levers simultaneously, an existing front derailleur can be controlled. Of course, you can change the shifting behaviour and controls to suit your personal preferences by using the AXS™ app.
