The ERGON SMC Core Men mountain bike saddle unites maximum comfort and dynamic response for even more flow on the trail.
With the SMC Core, the ergonomics specialist is now making its proven TwinShell technology available for mountain bikers, too. The TwinShell concept with a floating saddle core made from E-TPU material supports the natural movements of the pelvis when pedalling. It provides active relief for the sit bones and back, while reliably dampening the effects of rough terrains.
For the padding, Ergon uses an orthopaedic foam in the SMC series, which is slightly thicker and softer than in the successful SM saddle series. The shape of the SMC Core Men saddle is adapted to the male anatomy. It stands out for excellent relief of the genital area and less pressure on the sit bones. The flat seating area of the comfortable Ergon SMC Core Men mountain bike saddle allows for dynamic sitting in different positions – for maximum power transfer without tilting.

Technologies:
• Ergon Core: Ergonomic saddle core made of BASF Infinergy (closed-cell particle foam) supports pelvic movements when pedalling, absorbs shocks or vibrations and protects the back.
• Ergon Twinshell: The double shell technology for maximum comfort. The weight rests on the lower, very stiff shell, while the padding rests on the upper, flexible shell. In between is the floating ergonomic core made of E-TPU material.
• Sandwich damper: The sandwich construction with elastic core allows the saddle to follow the natural pedalling movements in all three spatial dimensions. Unevenness of the ground as well as vibrations are efficiently filtered out.
• Orthopaedic comfort foam: The seat padding is made of a comfort foam that is pleasantly soft but still defined. The pressure is distributed much better – even without padded cycling shorts.
