SHIMANO GRX RD-RX717-SGS Di2 Rear Derailleur, 12-Speed

The SHIMANO GRX RX717-SGS rear derailleur is specially developed for demanding gravel use and combines a wide gear range with high durability and precise shifting performance. 
In combination with a 12-speed cassette with 10-51 teeth, it offers outstanding gear variety – ideal for steep climbs, fast gravel sections and long bikepacking tours.

Designed for 1x12-speed drivetrains, it nevertheless enables a particularly wide range of gears. This means you benefit from excellent cadence control – both on fast flat sections and on technically demanding terrain.

And thanks to the automatic impact recovery function, the rear derailleur automatically returns to its starting position after an impact. The specially developed, impact-resistant design and solid pulley wheels further increase resistance to external influences. This maintains shifting precision even under demanding conditions.

Another advantage is the compatibility with the battery of the current SHIMANO 12-speed platform. The battery used corresponds to that of the SHIMANO GRX RX827, SHIMANO XTR M9250, SHIMANO DEORE XT M8250 and SHIMANO DEORE M6250 models. This means that the battery can be easily swapped between gravel and mountain bike derailleurs – ideal if you already own several bikes.
