The “S” in the name of the seamlessly welded S-Tubo-MTB-27,5 lightweight tube by Tubolito is the indicator for the even more extreme weight and pack size minimization compared to the standard Tubo. This superlight revolution makes a real alternative to butyl and tubeless – even the valve can be unscrewed. In this way, you can even put it in your jersey pocket and it almost becomes invisible in your touring luggage. This is important, because every gram counts, when you are climbing steep sections with your mountain bike. A weight saving of up to 80% compared to a standard tube will not only enthuse top athletes, but also ambitious amateur mountain bikers. The S-Tubo offers new possibilities in terms of weight tuning, which quickly reduces the rotating mass at your bike by up to 150 grams. Per wheel! Mounting is as easy as with a standard tube. A great thing to improve acceleration and optimise your performance, without compromising on comfort.
In terms of weight reduction and grip improvement, Tubolito’s smooth polymer tube is also a reliable option for tubeless sceptics or for riders who dread converting to a more complicated tubeless system, as it can also be ridden with low air pressure. What’s more, the robust thermoplastic is twice as puncture-proof as butyl. However, should you have a puncture, the orange tube can be quickly repaired with the Tubo-Patch repair kit (item no. 2311781).
