Eddy Current Front Evolution ADDIX Soft Super Gravity E-MTB tyre

The first “real” e-mtb tyre by Schwalbe is called Eddy Current Evolution and is a renowned specialist for aggressive All-Mountain and Enduro tours. Featuring robust tread blocks, more rubber and large widths, it looks much more massive than a standard mountain bike tyre. Yet, or perhaps precisely because of this, it allows for uncompromising uphill riding and smooth riding on technical and blocked downhill trails. Strong acceleration with high pedal assistance and abrupt braking when reaching the grip limit aren’t too much of a bother for the Eddy Current Evolution either.

The tyre’s tread with ADDIX Soft rubber compound is specifically designed for the front wheel and stands out for aggressive tread blocks with an open design providing high grip, precise steering and excellent self-cleaning properties. Taking into account the high weight of modern e-mountain bikes and the requirements of tough terrains, Schwalbe has given the Eddy Current Front a Super Gravity casing originating from the downhill sector. Laterally stiff in fast-taken corners, impact-resistant yet very dynamic, it gives the Eddy Current Front the strength it needs to survive tough e-MTB use on the long term.

Tip: Schwalbe recommends to use a 29” tyre at the front and a 27,5” tyre at the rear for maximum performance.
