The Schwalbe Big Betty Evolution in the Super Downhill variety is not just the next level for Schwalbe’s Evolution Line mountain bike tyre, but also the comeback of the practically legendary Big Betty Gravity tyre.

This tyre for adrenaline junkies has the “Super-Downhill” casing, which was specially equipped for those intended uses, and comes with a six(!)-layer carcass. A double Apex insert at the sides and a chafer placed directly against the bead combine to offer additional protection against punctures and grinding at the rim. And of course, the proven SnakeSkin insert is built into the sides for excellent cut protection.
In addition, Schwalbe has for the first time given its “big guns” the Super-Downhill casing with a foldable bead core, which makes tubeless mounting easier for DH tyres.

Big Betty’s profile presents especially strong shoulder knobs which ensure excellent cornering traction. The tyre also impresses with long, supported braking corners for great traction when slowing down, as well as optimised self-cleaning properties with the aggressive and coarse tread pattern.
The sticky ADDIX Ultra Soft rubber compound provides excellent grip in dry or wet conditions.

This makes the Big Betty a gripping and stabile rear tyre with thick knobs; a perfect partner for the Magic Mary at the front (product code 2306326) on those neck-breaking descents.
