ROSE Disc Checker Rotor Wear Indicator

The ROSE Disc Checker is a high-precision indicator tool to reliably measure the wear of your disc rotor. For best braking performance, you should regularly check the rotor thickness with a wear indicator. The tool comes with four slots from 1.5 to 2.0 millimetres to cover the wear limits of common disc rotors. You will find information about the minimum thickness on the rotor itself or in the manufacturer's technical documentation (min. TH/Thickness).

Try to slide the ROSE gauge carefully onto the disc rotor at two points using the right size slot. If the rotor doesn’t slide into the slot, it is still good and doesn’t need replacing. If the brake disc slides into the respective slot of the Disc Checker, it has reached the wear limit and should be replaced for your own safety. There’s hardly any faster and easier way to measure the rotor’s thickness.

The ROSE Disc Checker is a high-precision tool that must be handled with care to ensure proper functioning. Do not store it together with other tools, in corrosive conditions or together with dirty parts. Make sure the wear indicator is free of oil and grease when using it, so it doesn’t affect the braking performance. This tool is not suitable for aligning disc rotors.
