The idea behind Orthomol originated at Munich airport when pharmaceutical marketing expert Dr Kristian Glagau met the chemist Dr Hans Dietl in the early 1990s. In the USA, the area of orthomolecular medicine was already a field of research back then. The two rapidly became convinced that the concept of offering micronutrient combinations for different applications was suitable for the German market as well. They set up Orthomol and were thus the first in Germany to introduce a range of products based on the idea of orthomolecular medicine. What started with two employees on 140 m² of office space has grown into a company with 400 employees for whom your health is the motivation.
Experience and quality in a family-owned business
Orthomol develops and distributes food supplements and balanced nutrition based on research in the areas of medicine and nutrition. In order to fulfil highest quality requirements, the owner-managed business produces its products exclusively in Germany. The headquarters are in Langenfeld in North-Rhine Westphalia. Thanks to high standards and many years of experience, Orthomol has been a pioneer in the field of orthomolecular nutritional medicine for 25 years. Products from Orthomol are now available in more than 30 countries around the world, including the USA, Japan or Saudi-Arabia. Thanks to the wealth of experience and the cooperation with physicians and pharmacies, the product range is constantly improved and enlarged.
Food supplements for sport and every day
The range includes dietary supplements enriched with numerous vitamins. For athletes, there are specifically developed preparations such as Orthomol Sport which supplements the sport nutrition in case of an increased need of vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E, magnesium and calcium. There are different forms of administration including tablets, capsules and ready-to-drink vials.
