The EXC 1200 Spline® 30 rear wheel not only combines carbon with ceramic and aluminium, but also acceleration with agility and robust stability.

A carbon structure optimised for impact resistance, reinforced rim flanges and the ideal ratio of resin to carbon fibre make the EXC 1200 Spline® wheel the absolute benchmark in the enduro sector of the traditional Swiss manufacturer. The enormous inherent strength of the rim allows the use of super-light DT aero comp® and DT aerolite® spokes, which also generates optimal wheel stiffness.
The heart of the high-end system wheel is the elaborately milled DT Swiss 180 Spline® hub with its smooth-running SINC Ceramic ball bearings and the weight-reduced Ratchet EXP freewheel, which reliably brings your torque to the ground even in adverse conditions.

Technologies:

• RATCHET EXP SYSTEM:
Thanks to the integration of star ratchet and thread ring, this is currently the lightest ratchet freewheel system from DT Swiss. The start ratchets for the Ratchet EXP system have 36 or 54 teeth for a particularly small engagement angle. The system stands out for high reliability thanks to the simultaneous meshing of the teeth, which leads to significantly lower point loads. The no-tool concept allows easy maintenance and tool-free conversion to common axle and freehub body standards.

• TUBELESS:
All DT Swiss wheels are tubeless ready. The profiles of the DT Swiss rims are specially designed for tubeless use. The rim profile makes it easier to fit the right tyre and ensures a perfect fit. The tubeless system of the rim consists of DT Swiss Tubeless Ready Tape for sealing and a DT Swiss tubeless valve in a length that complies with the rim. When using tubeless ready tyres, it is mandatory to use a compatible sealant. However, it is also possible to use a conventional combination of tyre and inner tube.

• SINC CERAMIC:
The SINC Ceramic ball bearing, developed as a system by DT Swiss, ensures optimal functioning in all conditions with minimal friction. Particularly resistant ceramic balls made of silicon nitride (Si3N4) in combination with precision-ground steel bearing rings reduce rolling resistance. The sealed hybrid bearing is wear and corrosion resistant and promises particularly high durability. Each DT Swiss SINC bearing is individually checked, precisely adjusted to the tolerances of the hub bearing seats and tested.

• BEARINGS:
Thanks to years of experience, DT Swiss only uses durable cartridge bearings without bearing play adjustment. DT Swiss hubs are designed to have the optimum axial and radial bearing play when they are properly installed. The correct preload of the bearings to compensate for the clamping force of the wheel mounting system is the basis for a play-free hub with minimum friction.

• PRO LOCK®:
DT Pro Lock® prevents the spoke-nipple connection from loosening. In the Pro Lock® process, a special dual component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread, allowing for extremely durable wheel builds. By threading the nipple onto the spoke the adhesive is activated and then hardens completely within a few hours. Re-truing the wheel is possible, yet it will cause a slight decrease in the adhesive power each time.
